Publisher of Naija News Today, Alefia Friday James, has clarified that his growing involvement in the real estate sector is not a departure from journalism but an expansion of his professional vision.

Speaking during an interview, Alefia explained that his popular nickname, Asiwaju of Abuja Real Estate, is not an official title but a reflection of his increasing visibility and impact within Abuja’s property market.

The media entrepreneur revealed that he is currently working with Standard Rank Properties Limited, a move he described as strategic and driven by his passion for helping Nigerians secure genuine and profitable property investments.

“I didn’t leave media. I only expanded my scope,” Alefia said. “Publishing Naija News Today remains part of my identity, but real estate has created another opportunity for me to help people build wealth.”

According to him, his decision to venture deeper into real estate was influenced by years of observing how land ownership continues to transform lives, especially across Abuja’s rapidly developing corridors.

“I’ve seen ordinary people change their financial future through land investment. At some point, I realized I could do more than report these success stories — I could help create them,” he stated.

Alefia further explained that the nickname Asiwaju of Abuja Real Estate emerged organically from his consistent presence and energetic approach to property marketing within the Federal Capital Territory.

“It wasn’t a title I officially gave myself. People simply started calling me that because of how visible and committed I’ve been in the industry,” he added.

Speaking on his partnership with Standard Rank Properties Limited, Alefia emphasized that the collaboration is rooted in transparency, integrity, and long-term value creation for clients.

“In real estate, trust is everything. That’s why I aligned myself with a company that prioritizes credibility and delivers on its promises,” he noted.

He also highlighted how his media background has helped him communicate investment opportunities more effectively while building confidence among prospective investors and property buyers.

As he continues to balance journalism and real estate, Alefia reaffirmed his commitment to both informing and empowering Nigerians.

“My mission remains the same — to inform people and help them make better decisions. Media helps me inform them, while real estate allows me to empower them financially,” he said.
